From Start-Up Nation to
Great Britain.
Whichit is an Israeli startup company who won the UKTI (UK Trade & Investment) competition for high growth startups, who are also taking part in the
Sirius Programme for young entrepreneurs, of which the Accelerator Academy, one of the top accelerators in the UK, is a core part. Whichit is based at Innovation Warehouse, in central London.
Yesterday (August 19th) we were honoured to be invited to a personal meeting at none other than Number 10 Downing Street. We met with Daniel Korski, special advisor to the Prime Minister, to discuss the opportunity the UK market can give to Whichit as a social shopping B2B platform. Whichit is designed to allow users to experience the fun and excitement of shopping online with their friends, just like in the real world shopping experience. We have produced a powerful platform created to increase and expand awareness and interest,
while creating desire and enabling action, driving up sales by
putting brands in front of highly targeted audiences in a playful
choice selection App.
Meeting in Margret Thatcher's old office and taking seat at the G8 summit table (built by Terry Designs), we spoke about how the UK e-commerce market is a world leader. It gives ecommerce startups, like Whichit, a great opportunity to grow into innovative surroundings, highlighted trends and a strong influential economy. In a $30 billion
social commerce market where 90% of purchases are subject to social
influence, the conversion rate is only 2%. We have created an innovative
marketing tool, a real time solution for brands and marketeers, which
decreases customer acquisition costs, increases retention rates and
ultimately generates sales, raising the conversion rate.
The Whichit team is a young,
strong, sophisticated group of academic and professional experts with
experience and knowledge gained from working in the forefront of the
Israeli Hi-Tech industry.
The outstanding combination of
creative entrepreneurship and in depth understanding of the
technology domain has led the Whichit team to develop an exciting and
innovative platform and the Next Big Thing.
